Read through all the instructions first before starting this craft.
Select your angel picture and keep the original to be able to distinguish where the coloured mosaic pieces should be placed. Make a copy of the original coloured angel picture in black and white according to the size mosaic you require.
Attach the carbon paper to the place mat using the masking tape. Tape the black and white angel copy on top of the carbon paper, and trace with a pencil to transfer the picture to your place mat.
Masking tape shouldn’t be left on your place mat for more than two hours, as this will cause difficulty in removing it and could even cause an uneven work surface.
Make sure your angel design is properly traced on to your place mat to allow different colours to be easily distinguished. Always check before going to the next step.
Cut 3mm pieces of mosaic slivers by cutting a tile in half 2cm by 2cm with the two wheel tile cutter, and cutting two mm bits from the triangle.
Glue pieces of mosaic tile on the traced outline of the angel.
Once the outline is complete, start working on the background. For the background you can use bigger pieces of mosaic triangles, around 1 cm. Work 2cm from the edge of the board as the grouting will fill the spaces, try not to work right against the edge of the board.
When the background is complete you can now start using the tiny bits of mirror to colour in your angel. This will define the outside and inside of the angel.
Once all the pieces have been pasted in place we can start the grouting process. Refer to Step 13 of the Teddy Bear on Moon craft to complete the grouting.
You have now completed your angel mosaic.
