This is a fantastic craft for kids. Not only will they have they fun making and designing the valentines Day card, but there is cutting, sticking and glitter too!
Make sure you have a clean and tidy workspace - cover your working surface with plastic or paper if you're worried about making a mess!
You can use this very simple step by step to create a personalized "I Love you" Card for that special someone!
Fold both A4 sheets of Red Card in half, down the width. Now fold one of the folded sheets again, down the width. Mark this sheet, with your pen or pencil, drawing a half heart. The inside of the heart should face the the fold line.
Now take one of the folded sheets and cut this A4 sheet in half, along your fold line. Now refold one of these sheets in half again (down the width).
Using you scissors, cut along the line that you have just made with your pen or pencil.
With the second half of that A4 sheet, we are going to attach a section of the heart printed paper. To do so, stick the double sided tape along the edges of the sheet and then measure the heart printed paper to fit, before sticking it down.
Now, take your heart shaped paper cut out and apply the double sided tape, as illustrated, before sticking it on top of the heart printed paper. This will give a lovely effect of a heart shaped image appearing.
Now, take this decoration and using your double sided tape, stick it down to the first folded card. You can further add to this heart shaped pattern appearing through your card – but adding smaller heart shaped cut outs to it.
Now for the glitter fun!
Using your nozzle, apply the multi-purpose glue to the edge of the heart shape and then sprinkle your glitter over the glue. Wait a few seconds, and then shake the excess glitter off.
TIP: using a larger sheet of paper, shake the excess off onto this sheet and then sieve the excess back into your container for re-use.
You can continue to use your nozzle to create patterns on the card. Working your way around the card, creating interesting patterns and sprinkling glitter as you go, in sections.
You are done!
Present your masterpiece to someone you love as a very special gift!
