Find pictures of small fish that you can find in most childrens colouring-in books, and trace them onto the thin paper card. You need at least 8.
Cut out the paper card pictures of the fish.
Colour-in the pictures of the fish using your felt tip pens.
Glue the colored fish onto the hard card, then cut them out.
Make hoops with the paper clips, and stick them to the back of the fish, using the sticky tape. Place the paper hook so that it sticks out at the mouth a bit.
Make hooks for your fishing rod with the paper clips. Open the paper clip up slightly so that it has a hook at the end. Tie the hooks onto a half metre piece of gut and tie the gut to the sticks, making your fishing rod.
When everything is made and ready, play and have fun.
The aim of the game is to catch the fish with your fishing rod, by hooking them in the mouth with your hook. Place the fish in a large bowl, dangle your fishing rod over the bowl and try to hook them up using your fishing rod.
You can use this game at birthday parties and have a note with a prize writen on the back. This is a great way for kids to have some paper fun!
