Read through all the instructions first before starting this craft. Make sure you have everyting you will need at hand and your working area is clean and tidy. Cover your surface with plastic or brown paper. This is a great kids paper craft project.
Print out the picture of the dragon, and colour it in as bright and firesome as you like.
Stick the picture onto another piece of hard cardboard, using glue.
Carefully cut out the picture using a scissors.
Cut out strips of different colured paper about 2cm wide. You will need at least 10 A4 length strips. Glue 5 strips together length-ways. Do the same with the remaining 5 strips so you have two long strips of paper for the tail.
Place one piece of card on top of the other so that you form a 90 deg. angle. Start folding the one over the other keeping your 90 deg. angle.
Keep your work facing up and keep folding the paper to the top. At all times you must cover one piece of card at a time only.
When you have folded all the paper, glue the last bits together so it does not come undone. Glue the beginning part, too. You can also staple it if you like.
Open up some streamers and make loops about 30cm long. Use a few different colours.
Staple the tail and the streamers to the head at the back near the top.
Staple some of the streamers in different colours to the end of the dragon's tail.
Your dragon is nearly done.
All that is left to do is for you to turn the dragon over and staple a skewer stick on the back of it's head, and another skewer stick half way down the body. These are for holding on to and making your dragon move.
