Photo Album

This is a fun, easy papercraft project for children from the age 6+.

What you will need:

  • Coloured thin card
  • Colored paper
  • A pair of scissors
  • Hole-punch
  • Coloured cord/ribbon

Read through all the instructions first before starting this paper craft. Make sure you have everything you will need at hand and your working area is clean and tidy. Cover your surface with plastic or brown paper if you are worried about making a mess.

Step 1

Special occasions are best remembered with photos. So why not make your own photo album? Using a scissors, start by cutting out the colored thin card to 20cm x 20cm to make your cover. Cut the coloured paper to the same size to make the pages.

Step 2

Put the pages inside the cover and make sure it is lined up nicely. Punch holes into it using your hole punch.

Step 3

Thread your coloured cord / ribbon through the holes to hold your album together, and tie a nice bow.

Step 4

Cut out narrow strips of paper and fold it inward to create corner sleeve, these are your photograph holders.

Step 5

Cut away excess paper.

Step 6

Make four sleeves for each corner to insert your photograph.

Step 7

Now decorate the cover of your album. You can use stencils to draw pictures to cut out or to draw pictures onto your cover, and colour it with crayons.

Now you have your own album. Nicely done!
