With my online shop I go through rolls of tape & I have been keeping the cardboard centres. So I decided to put them to good use & make a container for my daughter’s earrings.

What you need to make a recycled earring container:

  • Cardboard centre from a roll of tape
  • Double-sided tape
  • Glue that dries clear
  • Scraps of Paper
  • Chipboard
  • Embellishments – I used the chipboard shoe, flowers & ribbon

Step 1

Paint the centre of the cardboard roll & leave to dry.

Fpr the base you are going to need to cut a circle from the chipboard slightly bigger that the cardboard roll.

Step 4

Now cover the outside of the cardboard roll with paper. You will need to measure the width of the cardboard roll and then cut a strip the same width. Then use double-sided tape to cover the roll.

Step 5

Now cover the bottom with clear drying glue & stick it down in the centre of the base. Use an ear bud to remove excess glue.

Now embellish – I used a chipboard shoe & stuck it down where my paper is joined. Then I added some ribbon & flowers.
