What you need to make a cup cake fridge magnet:

  • Plain card
  • Patterned paper
  • Lined paper
  • Dark Brown Chalk
  • Paper flowers
  • Paper cupcakes
  • Corner rounder
  • Double sided tape
  • Liquid glue
  • Wooden letters to spell YUM
  • Glue Dots
  • Glue Pen
  • Magnets
  • Ribbon

Read through all the instructions first before starting this craft.

Preparation & Tips

  • Use dark brown chalk for the edges and chalk all the paper before sticking them down
  • Use your corner rounder to round the corners of the patterned papers
  • Use double sided tape to stick down your papers and cupcakes
  • Use liquid glue to stick down the wooden YUM letters
  • Use glue dots to stick down the flowers
  • Use a glue pen to stick down the rhinestones

Step 1

Peel the white sheet off the magnets and stick them onto your plain card. You are going to stick them next to each other. Cut away the excess card, turn over and start decorating.

Step 2

Take your patterned papers and layer them on the front of the magnet.

Step 3

Print your recipe onto the lined paper, cut to size and stick to your card.

Step 4

Cut out the 3 cupcakes and use glitter, 3D pens, rhinestones and dimensional glaze to decorate. Use your own creativity and flair! Once these have been decorated, paste onto your card.

Step 5

Decorate the wooden YUM letters using craft paint, chalk or use 3D pens to add colour. Once dry, stick these onto the card.

Step 6

We used brads to create the cherries on the top of the cupcakes.

Step 7

Fold the paper flowers in half and the push a brad through. This is perfect for the side of the cupcake recipe magnet.

Step 8

I used chocolate brown ribbon down the left hand side and a zig zag ribbon on the top left hand side with a flower on the end for some added bling to complete my cupcake recipe magnet.
