This is a very useful and funky way of upcycling all your old vinyl records, giving you stunning Christmas decorations for any room in the house of event. Don't toss them in the bin - give your old records a second chance! follow our easy step by step instructions to make your own recycled christmas decorations from vinyl records.
Make sure you have a clean and tidy workspace. Cover your workspace with plastic or brown paper.
Choose the colour glitter you would like to decorate your record with and then draw squiggles or lines on your record with the wood glue.
Make sure you are happy with your lines and that there is enough glue for the glitter to stick to.
Sprinkle glitter over the design. Don't rub the glitter with your fingers or you will smudge your design, just sprinkle over the entire record if need be.
Leave your record with the sprinkled glitter on it to dry for at least 30 minutes.
Carefully lift the record up and tap it so that all the loose glitter falls back onto the table. Scoop as much of it up with a business card or a piece of card and then put it back into the bottle.
Turn the record over and do the same to the other side of the vinyl record. You can use gold again, or use red or any colour you like.
If you are doing the designs in different colours, then you need to do one colour at a time and try not mix your glitters.
