Mark Fruhauf is an expert in the field of rapid prototyping and creating custom moulds of all shapes, specs and sizes. Mark has been involved in the manufacture of moulds for over 20 years and works on all types of moulding including , fibre glass, silicone, foam and alginate.

Rapid prototyping is quite a unique skill which Mark has acquired over the passed 20 year while working with many clients to create their dreams.

Mould making is not nearly as simple as taking an object and pouring silicone over it. There is a lot to consider before even decided that silicone is your preferred moulding method. The item, size, shape, base material and many other factors need to be considered before going the silicone method.
This book covers not only how to use silicone but gives you great insight into the ins and outs of prototyping and making the right decision as to how to go forward with your project.

Whether you are a home crafter or developing custom moulds, corporate branding or personalised design conceptualisation, this value for money book will give you the best basis to start any project from to ensure you save time and money.

The book ...

I have been crafting and making product for over 20 years out of various craft mediums including, Chocolate, cake decorating, soap, wax, polymer clay, cement, plaster of paris and lots more. I have spent over 50 thousand rand learning the different techniques and skills in making my own moulds and have made countless mistakes! In this book i have taken all my challenges, questions and hard knocks into account and documented them for you to learn to make your own moulds without all the costs and frustrations!!

I find silicone to be a specialised industry product and not meant for us home crafters. The info provided on the Specification Sheets and all the technical jargon is enough to put you off for life!!

Mould making is my forte and I have been working with silicone moulds for a while now. They are a fabulous new add on to the crafting industry and they really bring in a whole new range of possibilities to life. All these new possibilities but we still limited to an off the shelf mould? I’m still stuck with how I will create a new and unique item. How do I put the corporate logo onto my products? The biggest challenge has been that there are so few moulds that are available and if I want to make something unique I am stuck. I would usually resort to hand sculptor or in some instances lasercut outs. Every time a client asks me to add their logo to a product it’s a 3 week struggle to figure out the best way to incorporate their design onto a candle soap or cake!

For the longest time I have been wanting to just make my own stuff and not do what everyone else does.

So I took the leap of faith and created my own moulds!!! Its relatively easy once you know how and the best part is your soap mould can now be used for candles, cement and all the other crafts you do. You not stuck with a soap mould for soap and one for candles and another for cement…

Because of the flexibility of the silicone you can use the same one mould for various crafts!! This really adds a dimension to crafting that is making home based business, professional and lucrative!

The challenge… how do I learn everything there is to know?
Well, you will need time lots of time, lots of trial and error and a lot of money!

Don’t worry I’m here to help.
Everything you need to know, for the begining crafter to start doing unique moulds! The technical jargon is explained in this easy to follow human level e-book.

All you need now is some silicone rubber and this book!!
So much information you will wonder how you did without.
So, lets play.
