Crafty Corner offers a range of creativity classes and workshops to suit every skill level, from complete beginners to advanced crafters. Whether you want to learn a new hobby, deepen a skill, or spend a Saturday making something with your hands, there’s a class here for you. Because every class is small and hands-on, you get real guidance from experienced makers, not just a demonstration.

Candle Making Workshop

Learn the full spectrum of candle making, from drilled and painted to moulded and sliced, and leave with a two-piece mould candle of your own. A practical, full-morning workshop for beginners.

Private Crochet Lessons

One-on-one crochet lessons at your own pace, whether you’re picking up a hook for the first time or working through a tricky pattern. Beginner to advanced.

Sewing Courses

Learn to sew at the Upcycle Sewing Centre, from an elementary introduction to full garment construction. Every process sample is kept in a portfolio you take home.

Mosaic House Number Workshop

Turn a plain house number into a one-of-a-kind piece using the mosaic-on-mesh technique, and leave with a finished piece for your own home.

Community and Corporate Training Across South Africa

Our regular classes run from our Greymont, Johannesburg base, but our training doesn’t stop there. Crafty Corner also travels to run craft skills training in communities, workplaces and organisations across South Africa. So if your company or NGO wants to bring beading, sewing, candle making or another craft skill to a community outside Johannesburg, get in touch and we’ll come to you.
